A Different Costume: Princess
“A princess, you say?” Julie grinned. “I always love princesses! I remember wanting to be Cinderella or Snow White when I was just a little girl and I can see why you want to be a princess for this occasion. If that’s the case, come with me.” Before Mark could object, Julie took him by the hand and dragged him through the store. As he got led into the back of the store, Mark wondered why he chose a princess as his answer. Was it his love for fairy tales and Disney movies when he was little? Was it the pretty dresses? Or was it something that he can't put his finger on? Much to his surprise, the hallway that they were going down grew longer and longer… much longer than the dimensions of this storefront should allow. By the time Julie stopped, they were in a room with only a pink leather chair, a full-length mirror and lots of cosmetics for company. It was pretty much a mini salon meant for just one person. “What is this place?” Mark asked. “Our little makeover room,” Julie answered.

Kyara put her phone in her pocket, smirking slightly as she knew what awaited her foxy friend at her new ‘job’, looking at her own destination with a slight resignation, but intrigue as well. The building stood out for a few reasons, the most obvious one being the sheer visual assault of rainbow and neon colours in what was a rather muted street of banks, bakeries and businesses, the store name of “Toy Fun-tory” in a font that made Comic Sans look professional. She sighed out, under her breath “I really need to talk to her about the name of this place…” before putting herself into a professional state of mind. The inside of the store was just as vibrant as the outside, jazzy circus music playing over the systems not too loud that you couldn’t think, but enough that you were aware of its presence. Shelves lined with plush toys, dolls, figurines, model kits…catering to the young and old in an oddly organised fashion considering the visual and audio chaos that Kyara wasn’t sure if it was
